Unschooling to boardingschooling

We knew it would be a tough transition.  R and I spent the last year home, together.  This week we moved her into a single dorm in a boarding school five hours away.  This week has had a few light moments, some light enough to laugh.  But it has also had moments of tears, and regrets, and doubts.  R has only been there 60 hours, and she feels like she wants to come home.  How does an introvert adjust to a totally new situation where she is regularly supposed to go out and interact?  The small class size of 12 will either help with the awkwardness, or not offer enough opportunity to find people that she clicks with.
